Our story
Why we started
MEND SOLUTION began with a frustration that most people in this industry recognise: a great deal of digital work is competent and still somehow disappointing.
The pattern is familiar. The brief is met, the deadline is hit, and the result is slow, confusing, or quietly abandoned a year later because nobody can safely change it. The failure is rarely in the execution. It is in what was never questioned.
We named the company MEND because most of what we do is repair in some form — fixing what is broken, clarifying what is confused, or building the thing that should have been built the first time. Make It Better is not a slogan we arrived at afterwards. It is the only brief we have ever really had.

Not an unusual one. We would rather contribute to that quietly, one properly finished project at a time, than talk about it.

Understand before building
The most expensive work is the work that should never have been started. We spend the time early to avoid spending it later.
Say the difficult thing
If we think an idea will not work, you will hear it from us during the project rather than from your users after it.
Finish properly
The last ten percent is where a product stops feeling like a prototype. We plan for it instead of running out of budget before it.
Leave things better
Every handover includes the reasoning, not just the files. You should be able to keep going without us.

Small team, direct contact
The people in the first conversation are the people doing the work. Nothing is relayed through an account layer.
Working software early
You see progress in a browser within the first few weeks, not in a slide deck at the end of a phase.
Written decisions
Anything significant is written down with its reasoning, so a choice made in week two still makes sense in month six.
Culture
How we work together
We are deliberately small, and we intend to stay that way for a while.
Small means every person is close to the work and to the client. It means decisions happen in conversations rather than in approval chains, and it means we take on fewer projects than we could — because the alternative is doing more of them worse.
We work remotely, with real overlap hours and a strong bias toward writing things down. We protect focus time, we do not treat evenings as capacity, and we would rather move a date than ship something we would be embarrassed by.
